Epernay

Epernay, in some words

A town located in the heart of the Champagne vineyards, most of the history and economy of Epernay is linked to Champagne, the production of which grew following the arrival of Nicolas Ruinart in Epernay in 1729, who developed sparkling wine. Moët & Chandon set up there a few years later in 1743.

Today,
Epernay is the headquarters of the Grandes Maisons de Production et de Négoce du Vin de Champagne, which can be found on Avenue de Champagne: Mercier, Perrier Jouet, Moët & Chandon….
This majestic avenue offers 110 kilometres of wineries
and has been listed as an “Outstanding site of taste”.

In addition to the many renowned Champagne Houses, Epernay also offers eclectic architecture and many 19th century residences.

With high quality oenological services and world famous Champagne makers,
Epernay is a prestigious destination which is perfect for private events.
